I am *always* ready to talk about icons
Nov. 8th, 2011 01:23 pm1. Reply to this post with "Icons, Plz!" and I
will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

penny_lane_42, who startled me somewhat by titling her comment, "THE PORN ONE! THE PORN ONE!" If you are me, that is not an email title that you expect in your inbox.

By
indulging_breck, who did a terribly nifty set of BtVS episode icons, five per episode, with and without text. I love the colors on this one. I use it for Spike in early S4 and also whenever I want to express general "Ugh, blah," feelings. Because nothing says "Ugh, blah" like being chained alone in someone else's bathtub.

The only icon in my entire hoard that doesn't come directly from TV/movies. This is a quote from a BBC Sherlock fic by
fialleril. Can't you just hear Benedict Cumberbatch's aggrieved tone? It is singularly useful for talking about porn and my feelings thereabout.

Is it not so pretty? Beauty and the Beast is my all-time favorite Disney animated, and the stained-glass sequence at the beginning is particularly gorgeous for icon purposes - I think I have five. Mostly useful for talking about Disney cartoons with
gryfndor_godess, who shares my enthusiasm. :)

This Ruby (1.0) from Supernatural, and the text is indeed an actual quote. So okay, Ruby's talking about French fries with references to cocaine, but I use it talk about real crack. You know, the kind with wings and pregnant men.

This icon particularly useful for talking about the Angst O' Dean, or sometimes the Angst O' Winchesters. The text is from "Carry On, My Wayward Son," which is one of the show's running themes, the awful irony being that the boys are never really done and never get that promised peace. And the occasions when they get a breather, like Dean pictured in the icon, are never for happy reasons. OH DEAN.

Date: 2011-11-09 12:29 am (UTC)That code inserts your default userpic, like so:
Just replace the http address with the address of any of your other icons. (To get the address, go to your icons page, right-click on an icon that you want, and then from the menu that appears, select "copy image location" or similar.)
Does that help? Shall I pick some icons for you to talk about?

Date: 2011-11-09 01:27 am (UTC)I'm am tempted, but I'm not sure I can commit to a meme just now. I'm sort of meme averse, although this one is v. v. pretty!

Date: 2011-11-09 02:55 pm (UTC)Why do you think I did it? :D Well, that and it just makes me incredibly happy whenever I see that icon.
Because nothing says "Ugh, blah" like being chained alone in someone else's bathtub.
You know, I have never thought about it quite like that...but I think that you are very right.
You know, the kind with wings and pregnant men.
I would say that that's the BEST KIND, but I really, really love fries....

Well now you made me all angsty and sentimental!

You asked for it! There's a reason it's marked as my "Dean angst" icon. :P And now it occurs to me that you haven't even seen the S5 finale, which is where the icon comes from.
icons, maybe?
Date: 2011-11-09 06:53 pm (UTC)My html sucks.
Here's some icons I made over the past few weeks:
If that worked and you like, I have 8 more.
