* Lovely to see the Commandos and to see Peggy being appreciated by someone - not in spite of being a woman, but just as herself.

* I so want Dottie to turn out to be super complicated and interesting, but so far we seem to be going for brainwashed and psychotic. But there is still time! I LOVE that this is an element we've introduced into the show. And that last shot, brrrrr.

* All in all, that seems like kind of a weird trap? What was Leviathan going for, bringing them in there? WAS IT SO THE DOCTOR COULD INFILTRATE SSR?! Because I really can't seem much point otherwise. Leviathan clearly didn't care much about actually killing Peggy's team. I'm also not sure what the point was of using the girl as first contact. She clearly wasn't going to kill the entire team, so...?

* Was I the only one who was completely unimpressed by Thompson's sob story? I mean yes, I can see how that'd screw a person up, but it really felt to me like we'd reached the point in the story that said Insert Manpain Here. And even granting him being screwed up, I don't see how it follows that he must be a sexist ass.

* People have suggested that Sousa is a plant as justification for why the mercurial Enver Gjokaj is playing him, but I think it's clear from these two days of angsting over Peggy's identity that that's not the case.

* D'Arcy really does have extremely pretty eyes, doesn't he?

Yeah, I wasn't really impressed with Thompson's story, although I did appreciate him learning to be less of a jerk to Peggy.

D'Arcy really does have extremely pretty eyes, doesn't he?
I noticed that too, I think it's his eyelashes. :D

I think the sudden about-face re: Peggy was part of what I found unconvincing, actually. I mean, I can kind of see what they were going for - guy insecure in his heroism overcompensates by belittling everyone else - but I just wasn't feeling it.

I think that they wanted to give Thompson a more complicated characterization? Like, he's not only an asshole, he also has problems. Also I think it kinda explains how sexism works: Peggy is supposed to fail while in reality she can kick major ass, Thompson is supposed to be the winner while in reality that's only his fake persona. Idk.

He does! And I like his mouth too. He's very pretty.

I mean, I see what they were going for with Thompson. I was just unconvinced. Especially when the basis of his angst was "I accidentally killed a bunch of innocent people and then hid the evidence."

I wouldn't say D'Arcy was my type, usually! But I am very much enjoying him nonetheless.

That last shot was killer, wasn't it? It was a great moment of characterization. Sadly, we're running out of episodes, so I don't think there will be time for much more with her.

Do we know that Leviathan lured the SSR there? Was it really a trap? Peggy did have to crack some pretty impressive code in order to find their location. My impression is that Leviathan kidnapped the crazy Ukrainian scientist to build the thing they found in Howard Stark's blueprints - which I'm pretty sure is the first arc reactor.
