snick_backupI keep saying I've written more S8 fic than anything else, but I decided it was time to put it to the test. So, voila, a list! With some fics that featured characters from one season set in another season, I counted it twice.
So I've actually written one more related to S5 than S8, to my surprise. I think it's interesting to note that of the first eight seasons, those are two of the three I would point to as the most deeply flawed. OTOH, S8 introduces a lot of new and interesting elements, while S5 gives us an end-of-the-world setting plus a lot of interesting character combinations, so that accounts for most of my fic writing. (I rarely write fic to explain canon's holes or fix its weaknesses. Just not my favorite thing to do. It might be due to laziness.)
Meanwhile, I have written exactly one fic related to S7, and it's actually set pre-season using a character introduced in S7 (Amy the kitsune). So that tells you all my feelings about S7. I'm not sure why I haven't written more in S1, unless it's just because it's soooo Sam-and-Dean centric, and I've actually written very little straight Sam-and-Dean.
