A/N: here it is at last, my spn_summergen story for amber1960. I angsted over this until the very last possible moment; I think I finished editing it like 20 minutes before the deadline. It is not really my usual fare, and I think I am still too close to it to tell whether I like it. Perhaps I'll come back next year and be impressed.

I loved this fic so hard. It was one of the perqs to running Summergen that I could pick my fave authors and READ THEM FIRST. Especially if they'd been pushed away from their regular fare. Just fantastic!
