SPN rare ships newsletter
Jan. 31st, 2013 12:37 pmIt occurs to me that I haven't mentioned this new project I'm involved in outside of flock, so, behold:
spn_weirdnews! It's a weekly newsletter along the lines of
spnnewsletter, but focused specifically on rare ships, both RPF and FPF, fic and art.
Also, if you like what you see, feel free to say so on your journal! The newsletter's been promoted on a few comms, but I think word-of-mouth is going to be key, too. It's only useful if people are actually using it, you know?
(Clearly, now that I have uploaded that Meg/Cas icon, I mean to get all possible use out of it...)

Date: 2013-01-31 09:04 pm (UTC)As far as getting it going "so fast," I've been talking about something like it since August. It took me that long to decide I was willing to commit to it. :)

Date: 2013-02-01 01:15 am (UTC)Regarding extra help, nobody's been jumping up and down going "Pick me! Pick me!" and I haven't gone looking yet. I figure I'd wait until the newsletter's been going at least two months before I worried about expanding.
I feel you about the gen/shipping divide, but I'm not sure a newsletter is a great avenue for combatting it. I mean, the whole philosophy of most newsletters involves dividing things up into neat little categories, and I can't off-hand think of another way to do it that would be, you know, useful to most people. (If we do expand to include gen, I still want to go with my idea of having the gen newsletter appear on different days.)
