I am amused at how most of the searches are fics that you've never, ever written.

Well, I cut out all the references to fics I have written. I didn't figure those were the interesting ones. *g*

Although, looking at Google Analytics again, I think I have a few more to add.

You are correct. And you know, I can see how one could start with most of those searches and end up here - I do have a past back there somewhere about Joanie Cunningham and Jenny Piccolo, frex (although not the femslash part) - but I can only imagine how many pages of google search results one would have to page through first to get to me.

And then a few of them, I can't imagine searching for in the first place.

Sometimes things pop up randomly at the top, and I will never understand it.

I am not feeling memey right this moment, but I usually am when I get bored at work, so I'll have to take a whack at that one sometime at the beginning of the week....

Speaking of work, I found out that I didn't get the Ideal Position, but they were very nice about it and it sounded like I was the second choice. Disappointing, but it boosted my self-esteem about things like that, so that's good. And the place where I've been working as a temp is hiring me full time! So--benefits! vacation! etc! So I'm pleased about that. It really isn't a bad job at all. I'm not making great money (I'd like to make more so that I could save more), but it's definitely enough for me to live on comfortably because I'm not exactly high-maintenance, and I've pretty much gotten used to the drive. So things aren't bad at all on that front.

How're classes going?

Alas for the Ideal Position, but I'm glad to hear that it made you more confident about applying for things, whenever you need to do that again. And yay for full time and benefits and stuff! It is so nice having dental insurance again and feeling that I can afford to take care of my teeth. I'm so glad things are working out for you on the job front.

You know the Hyperbole and a Half cartoon about being a ****** adult? More and more I have days like that, where I'm like, yeah, look at me planning a menu and going grocery shopping and driving there in my very own car! (I bought my first car in September. I'd been driving my parents' cars before, and then I'd been living the last six years without.) So, I wish you many of those moments. They're really good for the self-esteem.

Classes are good. They're keeping me really busy, but they're manageable. And next quarter I go back to two classes, which I'm glad about. I've even taught one of them before!

One of my classes is The Slacker Class, where eight or so people are missing every day (out of 33) and at least that many people skip every homework assignment. (Keep in mind that these are not all the same eight. They rotate.) So right now more than half of them are failing, although we have a test on Monday that will hopefully improve things.

So, yeah. I've been teaching long enough now that I have teacher stories. :)
