Seraph progress, hooray!
Oct. 4th, 2009 09:07 pmI haf had a fabulous writing day. Fabulous, darlings. The second-to-last chapter of Seraph is entirely drafted, and I know everything that goes on in the last chapter, so that one's just a matter of finding a large enough chunk of time to write it.
Also, I broke 68k just now.
This was all so exciting that I had to tell you. You have now been told.
*cheers*

Date: 2009-10-05 03:19 am (UTC)I had more thinky thoughts to share with you about our last email conversations, but life keeps getting in the way--plus, I have to hunt down this awesome quote on "frenemies" as you termed it that I want to share with you. So keep your eyes open; I want to continue that conversation.

Date: 2009-10-05 03:22 am (UTC)Yay. I'll be looking forward to it.
Although, I gotta be honest; I stole the 'frenemy' thing from Topher. I mean, I'd heard it before, but if I hadn't *just* watched "Vows" there's no way I would have used it. *g*
And boy, do I understand about life.

Date: 2009-10-05 03:27 am (UTC)Meh. Life is overrated. I wish it would take a break! Thankfully, though, quite a bit of that "life getting in the way" is coming with money, so that's good. I'm living at home, so I don't need money for day-to-day things, but still; it's nice to finally have a little bit of income after virtually going without all summer.
Is it appropriate here to ask you how teaching's going?

Date: 2009-10-05 03:33 am (UTC)Oh, teaching. Think the opening of "A Tale of Two Cities." Amazing and broadening and a great growth experience and much too stressful. I'm doing all sorts of things I've never done before and didn't know I could do. Most of them, it turns out I can. I'm putting in too many hours and sleeping too little. I love my kids except when they drive me up the wall.
So, basically, quite possibly the best experience of my life so far. Almost surely not the most fun, but possibly the best.
As for specifics, I had the majority of the kids flunk tests in three entirely different subjects last week, which was distressing. But I got to show them pictures of galaxy clusters, which may or may not have made up for it.
And now, off to bed am I. G'night. :)

Almost surely not the most fun, but possibly the best. I love the way you phrased that, and it's a great outlook to have.
That is distressing. But yay for galaxy clusters!
I wish you less stress and continued good times!
