Date: 2009-06-02 12:08 am (UTC)In terms of changing things, I think it's possible to make huge changes in tone while keeping the events the same. Like, have you ever seen the Kevin Kline / Michelle Pfeiffer / Stan Tucci version of A Midsummer Night's Dream? All the usual dialogue, but Bottom (Kline) is played as this tragic, rather fragile dreamer who finds and loses his life's desire in Titania. The ending is definitely bittersweet.
And that's the fun, right? To take whatever I get and play madly with it. *g*

Date: 2009-06-02 12:40 am (UTC)I hate to disappoint people, so I'd rather not promise something I won't be able to deliver. I already have two WIPs and one outstanding prompt that I have NO idea what to do with.

Is one of those the Ats S5 longfic (she asked wistfully)? I would so love to see your muse start being inspirational about that one - I was in tears (wet, actual tears) during the Spike-Angel wrestling "She never really loved me" scene.

Date: 2009-06-02 02:47 am (UTC)So I decided I needed an external plot for them to be occupied with while all the conversations were happening, but I never came up with one. I might throw it to Team Eowyn for brainstorming at some point.
Also - awwww, thanks!

Date: 2009-06-02 04:46 am (UTC)Actually, looking at all my finished fic, I'm realizing how lacking in plot most of my fics are. They're mostly just conversations, and an occasional internal monologue. Interesting to see what someone makes of that.
Ooh! And it just came to me, exactly what fic of yours I'd remix if I got you. Which I can't tell, of course. ;)

Lol! Well I have them all tagged as fic for ease in finding them, though no masterlist yet.
