So, for those who've had a chance to skim the remix archive (or at least our little Buffyverse corner of it), what are your guesses for who wrote what? And which one do you think I wrote? Obviously, you can't tell if you know, but a little misdirection just adds to the fun.

[livejournal.com profile] deird1 - Nothing I read jumped up and down and said it was Deird's. Maybe the Dru-centric The Tendency of History to Repeat Itself (The Time Keeps on Spinnin' Remix)? Beautifully written and not terribly long, both Deird-ish qualities, although not quite so high-concept as I'd expect from her. I dunno. There are a number of stories I'm pretty sure she didn't write; other possibilities for ones she might have include the Oz-centric Postcards From the Edge (The Three Cord Overdub Remix) (focuses on minor character, uses objects to tie theme together), The Path of Thorns (The Demon Girl Remix) (beautifully written, although more shippy than Deird's usual), Abandon Hope (The Mary Quite Contrary Remix) (minor character, with bonus drabble-series structure), or maybe even Echoes in the Air (Pistolwhip Remix) (just perfectly written all the way around), although that'd mess up another guess below.

[livejournal.com profile] aadler - Family Skeletons (The We Put the Funk in Disfunctional' Remix). No question in my mind. It starts off with that trademark [livejournal.com profile] aadler trick of describing the characters without naming them right away, as well as having lots of medium-length paragraphs. Also, the character voices are very good, as I'd expect.

[livejournal.com profile] antennapedia - For both quality of writing and subject matter (always a treacherous indicator), I'm going to say Echoes in the Air. It's all about Giles, pre-series Giles, no less, and beautifully written.

And finally, guesses for the story written for me, Bitter If Steeped Too Long (The Broken Orange Pekoe Remix) - Several writers I might have guessed for this have disqualified themselves one way or another, by commenting on the story or reccing it or whatever. (Unless, of course, they were being vewy sneaky and commenting to throw me off the trail.) For some reason, I kind of have [livejournal.com profile] angearia in mind. Maybe it's the sympathetic Spike portrayal combined with the suggestions of comics canon? Plus, I'm not sure why but the split between conversation in flashback and description in present seems like something she might do.

And then there are all the authors whom I just don't know well enough to guess at. What about y'all? You know more people than me. Speculate!
