niggly plot detail
May. 30th, 2012 06:33 pmI am picking apart the plot of the SPN pilot, for Reasons, and there's a few things I'm finding either ambiguous or just plain nonsensical:
* Why did the voicemail from John have EVP on it? What was he doing calling Dean while the ghost of Constance Welch was within earshot? It's set up to make us think that John's in trouble, right? Except apparently not, because he manages to leave town just fine. What?
* Did the police already have John's diary, or did they nab it from John's room after they took Dean?
* What tipped the police off about Dean in the first place? Did they look up his U.S. Marshal badge or did the credit card ding?
* How did Dean get to the Welch place in time to save Sam? Sam had the car, and Dean just shows up. How did Dean even know where the Welch place was?
If y'all have opinions or, better yet, facts related to any of this, I'm all ears.
