I just had a weird thought. In most of the finales, the season villain determines the timing of the final battle; in several of them, that timing is based on some external event (the prophecy in Prophecy Girl, Glory's narrow dimension-opening window). The only real exception I can think of is S7. Unless I'm forgetting something about the S7 timeline (a definite possibility), it's our heroes who decide precisely when to open up the seal and barge in. An argument could also be made for the joining spell to beat Adam in "Primeval," but Adam's Armageddon plans were already in motion by the time the team breaks into the Initiative.

I dunno. Thoughts? Significance? Does this arrangement affect the sense of urgency in the finales one way or the other? Discuss.
