VM - done with S1!
Oct. 15th, 2010 04:58 pmHah! I was totally right about everything I said about the Kanes. Hah, say I!
Aaron Echolls? I... really didn't see that coming. I guess Logan is now justified in every smart remark he's ever made about his dad.
Logan/Veronica is adorable. Yes. (I did watch enough of the premiere of S2 to establish that he did not dive off a bridge nor die a violent death, and that he and Veronica are still together at the end of the summer.)
I do like Logan, as I expected I would; Jason Dohring should probably be given no small portion of the credit for this. OTOH, Logan is woobification personified. I don't necessarily like him the less for it, but in a show full of subtleties, the awful awfulness of Logan's recent life - physical abuse, murder of his girlfriend, maternal suicide, father sentenced for murder of said girlfriend, getting the stuffing beat out of him, and a murder accusation - sticks out a wee bit.
And, one thing no one on the show seems inclined to say: Lilly Kane? Not the brightest crayon in the box. Affair with much older married man = stupid on general grounds. Taunting said man with exposure = stupid on grounds on self-preservation.
We never did get the rest of the story on Weevil. If, as I suspect, S2 turns out to be partly about exonerating Logan of the stabbing of that gang member, presumably we'll dig deeper into the moods and motives of Mr. Eli Navarro.
