I will probably do up a write-up at some point of this classic X-Men stuff I'm reading, but in the meantime, have some random panels I uploaded to Tumblr, with occasional squee. :D

Rogue is my favorite X-woman, followed by Storm. :)

Up to now my favorite has always been Psylocke, because I loved her so much in Remender's Uncanny X-Force. This Storm is fantastic, though, and I'm also really liking Kitty, which is new.

Ha ha, well, in my opinion, both Kitty and Jubilee were added to the series to give tween and teen girls someone to whom they could relate... though both (like Dawn, come to think of it!) could be super annoying at times. I'm still not a Jubilee fan!

Jubilee's one of my favorites in the all-female X-Men (which isn't saying a lot, because the characterization in that book is so bland), but I haven't seen much of her otherwise. I do tend to gravitate towards teen girl characters, though, Dawn included. :)

There are certainly a lot of them available to enjoy.

You are tempting me to read more old X-Men. Do they load okay in the viewer? I remember having a lot of trouble reading the old Magik miniseries because its panels didn't line up well with the guided viewer.

They read pretty well! Every so often I will want to scroll over to the part of the panel that isn't showing, but in general they're as good as any of the modern comics.

And yesss, you totally should read some, so I have someone to talk about things with. :D Someone told me to start with #170, which felt a little random but I think was a somewhat-arbitrary starting place so that I could see Storm before her punk transformation.

Oh, that's good to know.

I have read some of the older ones, but I don't think they overlapped with what you're reading. Other than the Magik miniseries, it was mostly slightly earlier stuff I think--I want to say the Dark Phoenix Saga was in the 130's, and Days of Future Past was around the same time.

Those are both on my list of things to read, too, especially the Dark Phoenix Saga. But right now, STORM. Yes. :)

You know, I think Storm is actually in both of those! :P

Ha ha, probably. Like I said, they are definitely on my list.
