S8 complaint based on discussion of an issue I have not yet read

The idea that Buffy is still hung up on Angel, after all the clear not-rightness we saw at the end of BtVS S4, her several relationships since then, and particularly the Spuffy relationship I thought I saw in S7 (even though I didn't care for it much), suggests a great deal of stupidity on the part of either the writers or Buffy.

Is the damage he caused still having a major effect on her? Oh, yeah. But I'd rather thought she'd gotten over her dreamy-eyed first love stage. Then again, I also thought the tongueless kiss and the cookie dough speech was shameless audience pandering, not serious characterization. It seems I was mistaken.

Haven't got my issue yet, but I saw Maggie's discussion and it sounds pretty bad for Buffy's common sense and integrity. I don't know why Joss et al can't understand that one can have strong feelings for a former love without turning into a complete idiot every time he appears...

Work has gotten better, but I don't know that I have. I cried myself to sleep last night over absolutely nothing yet again. I'm hoping this is just a fleeting thing and not a sign of another real downturn.

But I can't tell you how much your prayers mean to me. I always remember you in my own, and knowing that you're out there praying for me as well means so very, very much.

Ugh. I'm so sorry. If it's any comfort, I've been slogging through a bad mood for three or four days now. I suspect it's related to the position of the moon - maybe yours is, too?

Yeah. It's so bizarre I have a hard time being offended by it. It's just another reminder that, yeah, I don't really care about these comic thingies.
