This plotbunny attacked me in sleep last night. Since it is very much not the sort of thing I read, much less write, I gift you all with it:

In "Who Are You," when Buffified Faith goes looking for Riley, she finds Forrest first. When she comes on to him he decides to take Riley's girlfriend down a peg or two and gets more than he bargained for.

I've found a fair amount of it, but it's all porntastic. Are you the person I mentioned that one I encountered a few weeks ago to? The one where Faith begins by successfully seducing Joyce? ewwwww

I figured. And nope, I wasn't that person. Faith/Joyce is bad enough, but when Joyce thinks it's actually Buffy? I have not enough BLEAH for that idea.

I skipped ahead to see if there was anything worth reading further on, but it was basically Faith going after anyone and everyone in sight. And periodically coming home to Joyce and having sex with her again. I decided to quit before I really did pour some bleach onto my brain.

I may have managed to make someone want to use brain bleach once or twice, but it's as if this author was deliberately aiming for it. And he had dozens of chapters.

Speaking of, I just read Devil Piglet's Spike&Nikki Wood fic (it's all kcarolj65's fault) and was blown away. I didn't think it'd be possible to do that gracefully, but it was gorgeous. It's definitely going in my next recs post (which I have almost enough fics for, yay).

I suspect you will have read most of them this time, as they're mostly from S6 on and all other Spike- or Spuffy-centric. But I'm still holding out for a new Faith/Giles fic to rec...

Possibly. But every time I think I've read all the good stuff out there (I have read so much fanfic, it's really ridiculous), I find something I've never read before, and it's exciting!

So do you have reason to think the F/G is coming, or is this a vain hope? ;)

I have about four in my "to read" list, so yes, I am mildly hopeful. At least one of them looks to be post-apocalyptic and I think another is in the Wishverse, both of which have the potential to be fabulous.

That sounds like it could be kind of awesome. I don't think I've ever read a fic that where Forrest was a main character or even had a whole lot of layers beyond the whole 'Buffy's bad. Give her up, Riley' kind of thing.

Yeah. It's too bad, because in the first part of S4 I actually like him a lot, and even in the second half he has potential as a character, if not a sympathetic one.

I can't say that I ever really liked him very much. I liked Graham, but not him. But dislike aside, you're right. He had potential.
