You know what fic I want to read?

This is the fic I want to read. I want to read a fic wherein Buffy admits early on that Spike's pretty hot and she's attracted to him - and then concludes that this alone is not sufficient reason to jump in bed with him. That there are in fact additional considerations when deciding with whom to begin a sexual relationship. These additional considerations should then be overcome, if they are overcome, by something other than Spike's sexual magnetism.

Interesting. I hadn't realized you felt that strongly about canon. (Although you still read pre-S6 Spuffy, right? You just have trouble writing it?)

That's why I write so many historicals, I think. Practically anything goes, but it doesn't mess up the canon. (Which, admittedly is plenty messed up already.)

I haven't actually written/posted that much Spuffy, though it tends to be longer than anything else I write. It was a big departure for me to even slightly change the end of Chosen, but I've decided maybe I'm not such a whore to Angel canon, so I've pretty much gone off on my own track with AtS Season 5. In my brain.

I, of course, read every possible season of Spuffy, because Spuffy makes everything better! Preferably, believable Spuffy showing character growth (and little bashing). Or just snarky banter...

Heh. Yeah, I feel no loyalty to Ats canon - or comics canon, for that matter. If I ever write any of these post-series things I dream up, I'm going to cherrypick the elements of S8 that I like and merrily discard the rest. :)
