some things I love about SPN

snick_backup1. The funky little musical intro to the DVD menu. Since the show has no opening credits music and since I watched the first four and a half seasons on DVD (one Netflix disk at a time, oh yeah), those few notes are the SPN signal: "Is time for pretty boys and monsters now!"
2. "Lazarus Rising." Just showed it to Mr. Roommate (married to Miz Roommate), and my gosh. SO PERFECT. The opening scene, the structure of the whole thing (not a scene wasted), the sneaky Ruby intro, the beautiful set-up of the Sam-Dean conflict for the season, set-up for Sam's arc, and then there's that final scene. One of my favorite dramatic eps of the entire series. MMMH.
