signal boost: the Get It Done Jossverse motivation-a-thon

brutti_ma_buoni has decided Jossverse fandom needs a boost in the form of a motivation-a-thon. The theory here is that you make whatever commitment you like to finish some project you're working on or start a new one you've been wanting to start by the early December deadline. Fic, vids, fanmixes, whatever media you like is welcome. Graphics folks are especially welcome, as Brutti is hoping to get a little bit of a mini-bang going, where people make art to go along with the fics.

Personally, I'm going to use this as an excuse to finish that Faith&Giles snowbound-in-a-cabin fic that I've posted precisely one chapter of so far.

my Gen/Jared cup runneth over

Y'all know I have been wishing for more women in SPN RPF and more het in particular for quite a while now. And lo! Suddenly the universe is gifted with not one but two utterly adorable cracky Gen/Jared fics this week!

First, Smoking, by brutti_ma_buoni for my prompt "Gen's a dragon and a spy, and Jared figures out one of those things." As promised, it is both cracky and adorable. (Brutti claims that I have some kind of evil power over my flist, and you'll all be writing CW RPF before long. May it be so! I deny admit nothing.)

Second, ghostyouknow27 has just posted Pod People, in which Gen finds stranded merman Jared on the beach and takes him home to her bathtub. Folks, this is the darlingest thing. It's h/c and Weird Romance (my favorite!) and unlikely friendships and emotional understatement and relationships by choice and also CRACK. It is not to be missed.
