comics read: FF and Young Avengers

FF #16 – Fraction/Allred, Allred
This felt really talky, and the main part of the comic was almost solely Scott and Doom, which seemed so weird, since from the very beginning this has been a comic so much about not just the team but the whole extended family, and they were mostly complete absent. I don’t think any of the other FF members even got any lines until the epilogue. And I’m pretty sure I only needed like half that Scott-Doom speechifying anyway.
I did like the epilogue, though, especially when mushed with the epilogue from Fantastic Four #16. Moloids and real actual Scott/Darla and the Jen and awww.
Old comics:
FF #10 – Fraction, Allred
HA, I’d forgotten this was the meta issue. So now I can nominate Matt Fraction as a fictional character, yis? :D Otherwise: cute as always, and now I’ve finally met Maximus the Mad, who I encountered in later issues and couldn’t place. And the tour of microspace was fun (although it maybe would have been nice to had that under my belt when I wrote that Yuletide fic, oh well).
Young Avengers #8 – Gillen, McKelvie
Alternate universes are totally my jam, so I really enjoyed this (and now that one Yuletide fic I read makes so much more sense!). However, I am fairly :\ about Prodigy up and kissing someone he knows is in a steady relationship already. That’s not kosher.
