Oh, yay! This comment makes me so happy. Reader investment is like gold, and it is hugely encouraging to know that my writing can generate some, especially for scenarios the reader (you!) isn't automatically inclined to invest in.

I would dearly love to write more Faith-and-Buffy, if I can figure out how. I'm thinking about it.
