West Wing update circa 1.13: Take Out the Trash Day

CJ/Danny are as adorable as adorable can be. I <3 them.

Also, Mrs. Landingham has joined my list of people whom I love unashamedly.

And: If the Capitol building blows up, Richard Wilkins III, Secretary of Agriculture, is next in the line of succession. This cannot be good.

(I will write an actual review/response soon. Honest I will. End of S1, maybe?)

But aside from the slight problem that the succession is in the hands of a Demon Snake wannabe, is that not a lovely scene? One of my faves, and luckily I saw it before Mayor Anxiety Issues could taint it.

I dunno; Mayor issues aside, it struck me as another of those "Characters earnestly speak earnest truths to one another" scenes, which the show is peppered with. I am skeptical of them.

It must be a fairly different experience, watching this show as a Brit?

I always thought Yes Minister was a far more realistic portrayal of government. But West Wing is the classic American view and somtimes cheesy. We're a little earnest and myopic about these things over here.
