I think with Arashmaharr, it's the double-r that gets me. I mean, it's not like anyone but the scriptwriters (and the obsessed ficwriters) were ever going to know how most of things are spelled.

Agreed! After a few times I found Arashmaharr quite easy to spell too - it flows.

(I think Kyrumption fails because it's a clunky mish-mash of a pseudo-Greek beginning, Germanic middle and Latinate ending... It's a complete mess of a word, fake or no.)

Interesting factoid: "Arash" means celestial throne in Arabic. Mahar doesn't mean anything, afaik. So hearing "Arashmaharr" always throws me for a loop because my brain is convinced the word is supposed to mean something relevant when it actually doesn't.

Aha. You know, I've reread the scripts for almost everything about Illyria in the past week or so, but that apparently didn't stick. :)
