Dollhouse canon question

Opinion needed: how long had Topher been held captive in Neuropolis when Paul and Echo bust in to get him out? Ever since the 'thoughtpocalypse' began, or had he been at Safe Haven for quite a while before he'd been nabbed? I always figured the latter, since girl!Caroline says that the Safe Haven folk raid Neuropolis for tech on a regular basis - surely if Topher'd been there long, they'd have gotten him out sooner?

I don't think it's ever really clear, but my impression was that he hadn't been captive the whole time since the thoughtpocalypse. He was probably taken fairly recently, and this was the first chance they had to rescue him.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. But as long as I'm not clearly contradicting something, I'll be okay either way. :)

I got the impression that it had been awhile, maybe weeks or months, but not the whole time. There may have even been a line that referred to years (2?) but I hate to think of him being tortured for that long, so I'm going with the shorter time period until having the DVDs makes it impossible to deny.

I don't think he'd been there the whole time - he and Adelle had clearly bonded enough (and not been separated for so long) that he came back into the group very easily.

Good point. Although, they've already bonded quite a bit by the E1 dollhouse flashback scenes, yeah?
