A/N: Written for brutti_ma_buoni for rarewomen. In her dear author letter Brutti basically dared me to write any two of her listed characters in the same fic, and this was the result. I meant for it to be gen, but it refused. Warning: I ended it with the most obvious pun imaginable, because I couldn't help myself. I AM ONLY A LITTLE BIT SORRY.

Amelia/Sam in which an outing goes awry and Amelia meets the supernatural head-on, which gives me my "Amelia Finds Out" prompt and my love for "girl saves boy" in the same story.

Lose Your Soul Tonight by tiny_white_hats
A treatfic about what becomes of Kate from SPN 8.04. Tragic and lovely. (Warning for character death.)

There's lots of other delicious things as well, of which I've read only a handful, but so far I'm particularly fond of The Autoignition Point by flistie lyryk, which is sweet delicious Tamara/Charlie femslash, featuring book nerdiness and also sex.

and in BB news

This has been a hopping fannish week, y'all. Here, I think, is my very last bit of fannish news for a while: the most wonderful scarletscarlet, who previously drew me lots of bears for teensybang, has claimed me again for spn_j2_bigbang. (In theory summaries are anonymous, of course, but, as I suspected, apparently my summary was really super obvious to anyone who knows me.) She'll be illustrating the Gen/Jared a/b/o college AU that follows my other knottingverse fics and that I've wanted to write for a year and a half. YAY FOR FINALLY WRITING IT. Even though the existing draft is /o\ /o\ /o\

I am so tickled that I managed to finish a draft, you have no idea. I really, really wanted to participate again this year, and I'm so glad I'll be able to.
